life...

So I got a B on my science and history test. Not too good but not horrible i guess. I made the school Volleyball team. I am also trying out for a silver Chivas team. The coach is so much more effective than my last coach. I don't know why, but the way he teaches, i just seem to get it better and faster. And he's a no nonsense dude, so he make me have to stay on my A game. Also I was lucky enough to be one of the 20 some eighth graders that got walk down to the nearest elementary school and read them the folk tale we had to write in class and a Dr. Seuss book because today is Dr. Seuss day. We got paired up with other student and guess who I got paired up with? My best friend. I know, i am saying it like a bad thing, it just that I was very surprised. My english teacher said she would put us together, and them we end up together anyways. Apparently we got paired up by the Principal of the elementary school, and it was just coincidence. I thought it was freaky. Tomorrow as eighth graders, we get to stand outside while the 7th graders take a standardized writing test (suckers...) and get to form the number 821, which is our API score. In my opinion, that score is really suckish, and is really low, but I guess they still celebrate. Hey, that beat sitting in History for an extra hour. And at least that's not PE, where I don't know anyone, at least I have friends in that class. Oh, since I got to go down to the local elementary school (ok so there are like twenty where I live, but the one that is in walking distance...less than a mile), i missed Pe (=]), and of what I heard, my whole line got a demerit (-50 points) because no one noticed that I was absent. Yeah that's how my day went. Not too bad. I guess.

Paper Town continued

so i think that John Green is a wierd but entertaining and funny guy, also that i love the black santas, beer sword, blue energy drink, daddy vasaline...... and many more.
Haven't read John Green's other books, my local library and book store are painfully small. However here's a video from the author regarding the book.

Paper Towns

I too have read paper towns by John Green. First of all, let me start off by saying that John Green is one of my favorite authors. He had funny and insightful (maybe not insightful) books. Even though i have read paper towns, i do not believe that it is his best book. His books should be rated in this order
An Abundance of Katherines
Looking for Alaska
and the Paper Towns
It is pretty good, but not great. and not amazing

BOOK REVIEWS! Paper Towns

Okay, haven't posted anything in ages, but here's a book review.

Paper Towns by John Green!
Good. not Just good. Amazing. go Read it.
(^you will understand my capitilization if you read it)

The book is about a guy named Quentin and his neighbor/crush, Margo Roth Spiegelman. The narrator is male, which is not as common in teen literature I've noticed. I don't want to say much about the plot for fear of spoilers, but basically the main theme of the book is how we misimagine other people. There are two different covers, happy margo, and sad margo that help drive that point home. The copy I found at my library was happy margo!

Soredom

I have been physically abused by soccer. I had my first practice in a month on thursday with a silver team. and if you want to know, i was on a bronze team before. I get invited to play with the on saturday in a round robin, which is  like a small tournament, but just scrimmages. In the first game i score twice, but also suffered a kick to the mouth, which landed me with a large cut in my mouth. In the second game i got the compliment of not giving away a stupid pass, which i guess was a compliment. we won that games also. In the last game, we lost, and i suffered a kick to the shin, and ankle, which both bruised. Hey, that's soccer, and that is why i love it. I get to beat up others without getting into serious trouble. I've always wanted to get into a fight, to see how it would feel, but this is as close as i am going to get. Because, you see, i am a nerd, as they call it. straight a's and a reputation. Tho i don't dress too nerdily, i still tend to be associated with the nerd, crowd, but don't fear, the higher of the nerd. My best friend, yeah she's mean, and i tell her that all the time. Not many people, well i won't say dislike her, but you know, are happy with her behavior. I only tolerate it by not tolerating it. I call her out on what she does wrong, and she tries to fix it. But i love her all the while. Now that i am well of topic, back to my soredom. again i haven't played in such a long time, soreness is sure to come. When i got home, it took me many attempts to lift myself off my bed once i had laid in it's comfortable grasp. It took almost an hour. Then i took like a forever shower and laid back down for another hour. I finally went downstairs to fall asleep on the coach for four hours, right through dinner. I finally ate at 9 because i had barely eaten anything at all all day, besides, apples and a 6 inch subway (thanx. alli for that). And when you run for 7 hours almost straight, you kind of need to replenish one's self. The next day, it's my grandma birthday, so i make her pancakes instead of going to church. I am then about to drag myself in the shower, halfway up the stair (and stairs by the way should be band from every soccer player's houses because they burn so much, it just hurt thinking about it. ) my dad tell me to go run and stretch. So knowing better than to argue with him, i get myself out of the house, and run. My house is in the hills, so it's half uphill. I run around my block twice, (it's long and huge), which is about one to two miles, and finally get to get into the shower and rest. Now you must see why i am so sore, and need rest to get out of my soredom. sideaffects suck, ( me and my friends made up something. we were at volleyball, and the other team apologized for sucking, and my best friend was like it's okay it build character. so anytime one of us says it build character or has character, it is code for it sucks, or is sucking. ) though i like them, because i feel like i worked out well, and played hard.
